INSIDE MARASIM
What you can do.
Eight focused tools
Select, pen, line, arrow, rectangle, ellipse, highlighter, and text. Change colour, stroke width, and fill on an existing selection or for the next shape.
Refine the picture
Crop to the part that matters, move and scale annotations, change their stacking order, and clear annotations while keeping the image underneath.
Copy or export
Copy the annotated artwork as a PNG, or export PNG and SVG files. Desktop documents can be saved back to the file you opened.
Editable SVG imports
Supported SVG shapes, paths, text, images, and gradients become editable primitives. Unsupported constructs are embedded as an image rather than partly discarded.
Ready in the tray
Launch with --hidden to keep Marasim in the tray with Print Screen ready. The browser editor also runs independently, with touch panning and pinch zoom.
GETTING STARTED
A few steps to get going.
- Install and run Marasim. On Windows, disable ‘Use the Print screen key to open screen capture’ in Accessibility → Keyboard.
- Press Print Screen, choose a window or drag a region, and confirm the capture.
- Annotate if needed, then copy the picture or export PNG or SVG.
The desktop shell is built and used on Windows. Linux and macOS desktop builds have not been verified. The browser editor runs without installation; screen capture and global shortcuts require the desktop app.
